When kicked out of school, the only thing that saved his life was music. Twenty-three year old singer and songwriter Daniel Caesar fits in Contemporary R&B, Soul music, and Neo soul. His real name is Ashton Simmons but he is mostly known by Daniel Caesar, his stage name. His album Freudian released a year ago includes his most popular single “Get You ft. Kali Uchis” reflecting on a present or past relationship. His soothing voice will keep you relaxed and might even put you in your feelings. “Get You” is a song all about love, about the right moments, and how it’s never going to be easy when you are in love. “My baby has been around for me. Kingdoms have fallen, angels be calling. None of that could ever make me leave” he says. In most of his songs he uses beautiful lyrics, and the tone in his voice is very nice and calm. You can sense the vibe after watching the music video to “Get You”. Daniel gives his audience a live performance and not only are the cameras focusing on him but on the people in the crowd. While he sings everyone else is carefree, smiling, dancing gently, interacting with others, and sipping on a drink. The perfect way to spend the night. The setting is different too, chandeliers surround him while the cameras make sure to get every angle of him. Daniel is enjoying it as he begins to take off his jacket, feeling the song and using the entire stage to move around.
